That would be very nice to have but...

Ever seen photo's of those cockpits? They are HUGE, and have LOADS of analog instrumentation (eats FPS)

These machines usually fly around with a flightcrew of six.

never saw the cockpit before, interesting how it takes 6 to fly those beats?

anyway i was looking forward to flying them, im a VC snob, just cant fly anything in the 2d panel anymore thanks to fs9.

saw one landing at moffet field, in the bay area, right above me while i was driving on the freeway. nasa has one of those right?

NASA doens't have Antonovs...
It was either the An-255 (White with a red stripe and a blue-yellow flag. Registration UR-02060)

Or a AN-124 (grey belly, white with blue stripes for Aeroflot, Volga Heavylift and Antonov (ADB), blue and white for Polet Cargo or white with 4-pointed star emblems for Rossiya)

Nasa has a modified 747-200 for the shuttle, it's rumoured that it's flight characteristics are horrible.

OK now I'm confused as to what I saw... what type of big cargo planes does NASA have then? Maybe it was a C-5?? I guess I could have got confused, for some reason I thought it was an antonov

Ok, here's ours. God rest the souls of Columbia's crew and the wonderful ship herself. We still mourn the loss of both. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Notice the elelets on the elevator since the rudder on the 747 is useless when the shuttle is loaded.

interesting, so it was a modified 747 of NASAs that was landing at moffett, I knew she was big so I thought either a C5 or an antonov... probably a 747 then. beautiful pictures, thanks

I have an AN225 in early development, using FSDS2, It WILL have a VC, however it won't be around for a while. I am planning to start modelling september, (I am very busy!) for an early october release. This is subject to change. Hope this helps.
I am not making an AN124 for a while, but I MAY do one next year.
