Does anybody know of a detailed B-52 that will work in FS2004 ?
Hopefully one that has actual wing flex like the real one...

Go to AVSim.com and seach for B-52  (I couldn't get a direct link to it). Look for the Kotaro B-52 review.  You can download it from there.

SimV has an alternate panel by Romulus which I think is better than the one that comes with it - again, you  will have to search for it.

The only compatibility probelms I can see are that the panels use 2002 gauges.

Kotaro Akikawa is Bonzonie, and his B-52 is an FSDS1 model originally designed for FS2000 ;)

I've never tried it in FS2004, but It's such an old model that it wouldn't be very compatible

I found one for fs2002.
But it doesn't fly to well in 2004. Very nose heavy (HARD to get off of the ground) Also a warning screen pops up when you start it saying some items may not work. Do you wish to use them ? I selected YES but it looks strange. The wheels do not even look like they roll. The wings don't flex like they should (like they do on some other planes)

Oh well somebody may make one. Till Then it looks like the AN225 will be my large plane to fly....  ;)

Just for the record, Kotaro's (Bonzonie's) B-52 is posted right here at SimV in 3 different versions for FS2000, CFS2 or FS2002. (It was posted here first.)
This was the ultimate Freeware military aircraft for FS at the time it was released.

It won many awards & rave reviews for accuracy of both the visual & flight models from people who actually flew the B-52 & know what they're talking about. Read Richie's interview with Kotaro & the development team here.

It had all the latest features possible at the time. This shows just how quickly things change in this hobby & people seem to have short memories. ::)

Kotaro is a highly talented & respected designer & even set up his own section on this forum for help & support.

My young friend Bonz is busy in the real world right now & no longer a regular visitor here. If he was still around I'm sure he would have updated that B-52 with all the bells & whistles you could wish for by now. If you see this Kotaro I wish you all the success you deserve. ;)

Also a warning screen pops up when you start it saying some items may not work. Do you wish to use them ? I selected YES but it looks strange. The wheels do not even look like they roll.

Next time you see this warning click the No option. If you already clicked Yes, open fs9.cfg in Notepad, find the aircraft listed under the [FrameCallNoWarn] header & change the value from 0 to 1. This should enable the gear animation but might not fix the rolling wheels.

It might be an old design but Bonzonies B-52 appears to work very well in FS9. Check out this thread.
