Hi I would like to welcome my self to the forum first.
Does anybody know of any firefighting aircraft that will work with FS2004? I had a C130 Hercules MAFFS, but that doesnt work with FS2004. If anybody would like to make any firefighting aircraft especially a C130 MAFFS, a Bombardier 415 "super scooper", a Sikorsky Firehawk ( a blackhawk variation) or a Bell Huey (212, 412, etc).
I am interested in this because I live about 20 miles from one of the fires in Southern California, and my school was closed so I am stuck flying and watching news, and they are showing all of the aircraft. I also have the Mega Scenery 2004 pack for Los Angeles and San Diego.
Thanks

Hey, xtremdav45... This should problably go in the 'Aircraft Wanted' Forum... But, you can do a search. Don't click on the one with the magnifying glass. Click the one under the "N" in "Simviation". Welcome.

www.hovercontrol.com has a skycrane (5 blade rotor, stick-like fuselage)
You can put a water spray effect under:
B-17
DC-4
P-3/L188
Il-76
Be-12
Mi-26
(at least that are the ones i know that are in use for firefighting worldwide)

Just dloaded fs2002/130maffs.zip, which i guess is the ac your referring too, and installed in my FS2004 aircraft.
If I answer 'NO' to the incompatibility warning when selecting the ac in the ac change window, the ac loads, and performs correctly, including cargo doors and fire supressant effects(having correctly placed the fx_maffs.fx file in the fs2004\effects folder, per instructions).
Try reinstalling the ac in your fs2004 folder following the complete instructions, with your focus on fs2004, rather than fs2002.
Hope this helps, dave3cu

Get Jordan Moore's outstanding Huey at Hovercontrol
then look for the CDF ( California Dept.of Forestry) skin in the repaints section. Water drops nicely with th "I" key - Mike Tyler

Hi all, I'd like to add to this category of wanted aircraft,
Th Martin Mars, I did find one for Fs98 here at SimV, but alas I'd love it if someone knows of one for FS2002 or 2004.
Was just watching a great show on flying boats on DiscoveryWings(which has been on all this week), and my, my what a mammoth of a flying boat of which there are only two of in the firebomber config., maybe at all, that the Mars is. Awesome, simply awesome!
