Advice for a Newbie

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

Advice for a Newbie

Postby harkinsp » Wed Aug 20, 2003 9:40 am

I'm interested in getting CFS3 for my dad (now 80) who served in the 490th Bomb Squadron in B-25s.  It appears to me from the downloads available here that planes can be customized to reflect squadron markings.  Is that correct?  If so, can someone point me to the utilities or instructions for doing so?
Any help would be most appreciated!

Phil can you give us some specifics, and we'll see about sorting this for you ;)
In the program itself you can only make minor modifications such as wing, tail and nose marking changes. If you can get a picture I'm sure one of the repaint gurus can make it exactly like the kite your dad flew. I'll drop a line to Whitey for you, he's a repaint God in CFS3 ;)

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Get me some more details (your Dad's ID letters, tailnumber, photos) etc and I'll get cracking.  It might take me a while as I'll only be able to work on during the weekends because I'm back at school and getting a lot of homework. ::)

But I'd be honoured to make a repaint that would mean so much to someone. ;D
