Mil Mi-24 Hind

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

Someone should take this on, because there are enough fs 98 Hinds out there but none for fs2000 and fs 2002

There are a couple of Mi-24 projects on the boards at the moment. I'm working on a gmax model D currently, but it is still a fair way from getting airborne.
Several other designers are also doing models at the moment.

Hi,

I have one model in the development. This model has quite interesting history, because I started it initially as a very simple model for scenery - by impulse of one of my friends. But then I started to think also about flyable model for FS2002. So I added some details, animated rotors and landing gears and authentic camouflage.
Because it looks nice, I'm adding more details - now it has transparent windows, animated doors, wheel wells and basic virtual cockpit. In the cockpit is now a new fully animated 3D pilot - me  :)

Here you can see more and larger screenshots:

Milan, that looks fantastic! You're miles ahead of me with development. How are you making it gmax?
Keep us posted on how it is going.

Yes, the 3D model is created in Gmax. This is my second model, which I'm making completely in Gmax, from scratch - my previous models were created in AutoCAD + FSDS ( resp. AutoCAD + AF99 ). Here is the latest development shot:

And here I found quite interesting source for repainters:

I plan to create a template for main texture, so then the repaints will be easier. Here is a sample of main texture ( original is 1024x1024 ):

Wolf it ain't. With work and study, I just haven't had any time at all for designing. Maybe over the Easter holidays I'll make some more progress.

To Wolf: I hope I will "disappoint" you and release more planes this year than last year :-)

To Fhwhgads: I posted some info about Hornet here:
