Ford Anglia

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

Ford Anglia

This is a serious request for a flying Ford Anglia, like the one the Weasleys have in Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets, it has to be fully aerobatic, err more than some of the heavies I'm famous for huh? It even needs an invisibility button.

Ozzy ;D

Ps. I'm not a muggle! :o

Speaking of which . . .

A nice cloak gauge for any aircraft would be incredible.   I would love to see one.

(Keep dreaming . . .) ;)

Actually...I may have a way to cloak a plane...just some details and a trial. It should work OK for my Romulan in CFS 2, but I don't know how it will work in FS or as a player flyable vehicle. :(

Your Romulan?! ??? :D

Romulan what?  I haven't seen a Romulan anything for FS2002 or anything else, and I have searched several websites.  What do you have?

It should be possible to make a vehicle disappear by using one of the animations available in fsds2 - if you tagged every part as a flap and then in the display criteria put values of say display between 1 and 99 the parts will disappear when the fs animation sequence reaches 100.

My TOS era Romulan Bird of Prey of course...and no you can't find it yet...unless you've been on my HD, you haven't have you?

It will be available for CFS 2 and FS 2002

3 of them engaging the Borg. :)

What I'm going to try (when I have the time) is to make the LOD models use textures of variable transparency...as the range increases they should fade out and fade back in as the range closes. :)

And now...back to the Ford Anglia...any drawings?

Steve try http://freespace.virgin.net/alison.hall/home.htm for some good pictures of real and model Anglias, I'm still searching for technical diagrams (found lots on wiring looms but that ain't too much use)!

Another way..

a very small part - c_wheelwell.

another very small part: c_gear.

make the rest of the model and make c_gear it's parent.

make c_wheelwell the parent of c_gear.

when  the "gear" is retracted, the whole model "disappears"....

Felix...you're right that would work...but it would simply blink out.

I might use both in my Romulan...the texture method I''ve thought of would fade out (if it works) and the gear method (or spoilerwell) for when it's player flown. :)

Do I understand correctly that this Anglia both flys and can become invisible? This is starting to sound like something twisted enough to attract my serious interest. :)

Yup that is right Steve. Go to http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/h/harrypotter2.php scroll down and click on 'We need to find the train'. And yup it has an invisibility device so muggles can't see it!

Cool huh. Maybe you should watch the film?
