I'm looking for a freeware E-6 Mercury (aka TACAMO II). I would appreciate some assistance.

I tried to enter a set of textures into the CFG file, but it says "Access Denied" when I try to save the file. It's really weird because I am the administrator on my computer. Any ideas?

Try moving the Aircraft.cfg file to your Desktop before editing it. Then paste it back again.

Thanks for your suggestion. I tried it and I can save the file. The airplane doesn't show up in the aircraft lists though. GRRR!!!

Just tried it. Works fine for me.



If this is the first variation make sure you change the [fltsim.xx] number to 0

Also note that the panel & sound are aliased to the FS9 default B747_400 & B737_400 respectively. If either aircraft is missing from your FS9 Aircraft directory the E-6B won't appear on the selection menu.

I just ended up deleting all the files and starting over. Works fine, and I much appreciate the snippet from the CFG file. Thanks a billion.
