Both are available from Simviation, but they are both FS9, but as Chuck79 said, they can work in FSX.  The B-17 is on 2004 Vintage aircraft, page 52, and the B-24 is on 2004 Vintage page 98.

It's a shame they don't have many for freeware but A2A Simulations has an amazing one for a hefty price tag.

But it has to be one of the most realistic planes ever made for FS. ;)

Wings of Power do a nice little package which includes the B-17, B-24, B-29, Lanc, Arado and others. I was lucky enough to be a beta-tester for their FS9 version. Superb isn't the word! Money well spent if you ask me ;)

Sweet, yea I got the Wings of Power Pack: Fighters and Bombers.

Only real problem was that on the lancasters you can`t see out of the vc, but they have a texture you can download on their site.

I actually got a 3-7 fps boost.

hello again:

I got my b-17. sitting on the runway I decieded to get off the runway but guess what I cannot turn the b17 off the runway andon to the taxi way. I used the rudder, flaps, aerilons but they do not turn the plane around. all them workd fine in the air. maybe this is the problem the dl for this b-17 is 55mb my windows explorer  dl 54 mb I'm missing 1 mb what happen to that missing mb. is maybe that 1 missing mb is used to turn the b-17 when its on the runway and need to be moved onto the taxi way .

just a thought,

it is easy for me to take off from in aircaft but try to locate the other airport to land is impossible. thats just me.

hello again:

I have unlock the tail wheel. but to turn the plane it is makeing a 500ft turn off the runway and into the homes.

I do not know nothing about differention brakes or how to use them.

in real life  I think they use the brakes and the power of the engines to turn the b-17 around in a short tight radius to line up with the other b-17's already in line.  I could be wrong here if I am someone correct me.  basically thats what I want to do with this b-17.

check with the cockpit the only thing I did see is the tail wheel lock unlock device next to the pilot seat.
