What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

Need a NON-TURBO Beaver!!

Postby AvroArrow » Sat Feb 19, 2011 8:35 pm

Can anyone tell me where I can find a nice, freeware download of a a Non-Turbo Amphib-Beaver? Or even a wheeled-Beaver? Must have a good VC.....

As opposed to the default FSX Beaver? (or did that come with Acceleration?)

I have Acceleration, and unfortunately the default Beaver is not an amphib.

Indeed the only amphib Beaver is payware. I wish the default were amphib too :/

May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs.

Hi hagar,,

OK, thought I'd seen wheels embedded in the floats.

Yeah, that one's a sneaky trick. Floats only.

By non-turbo do you mean turbine?  Non turbo usually means a normally aspirated piston engine, instead of a turbocharger or supercharger, and I was not aware the Beaver came with such an engine.

Yes, I mean a radial engine powered Beaver as opposed to a Turbo-Beaver.

Don't own it myself, but a couple of members SimV have highly recommended it.

Definately recommend the Aerosoft Beaver.  It's a ton of fun.

About the Turbo/Turbine debate.  The turbine versions of the DeHavilland Beaver and Otter, DHC-2T and DHC-3T, and know as Turbo Beavers and Turbo Otters, even though they are not piston engines.

And the original Pratt radial in the Beaver is supercharged.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pratt_%26_Whitney_R-985
