She is basically a Chinese copy of the Yak-52. You'll find a nice one here at SimV http://www.simviation.com/fs2004vintage33.htm

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Yak-18 and Yak-52 are two totally different planes. Yak-52 is designed to be an aerobatic plane (focus on manouvers instead of easy handling) while the Yak-18 is a primary trainer.

Yak-52 doesnt have fully retracting wheels (like all later Yak-18 variants have)
Yak-18 doesnt have the aerodynamic improvements that a CJ-6 has.

As there is no inline seating Yak-18 available, the closes you can get to a CJ-6 is a Yak-18T, the 4 seat version of the Yak-18
Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and [url=http://an24.uw.hu/]An-24RV[/ur

Unless you find a really old Yak 18... :)

So does that mean there isn't a CJ-6a on the horizon? I'm quite into them too (haven't flown in one yet tho) and I'd give anything for one on FS.

In fact, is there even a Yak-18 out there? The tandem seater, not the 18T.
