I was just wondering if we could start a thread dedicated to 'famous' A/C's used in movies or books. Preferred for FS9.
Kind of a 'where to go' if you were looking for a certain movie a/c, or a place to drop a request for a famous airframe.
Before anyone says to use the search function...I have, here and at other major sites. If I had found the aircraft on my want list...they would be in the first "found" list.
I know I have seen these airframes:
1)Blue Thunder (helicopter from the movie of the same name)
2)Airwolf (helicopter from TV show of the same name)
3)Mig 31 "Firefox" (Mach 3.5 Stealth Russian fighter jet from the movie of the same name)
4)Fairchild F-119 from the remake of "Flight of the Phoenix"
5)"Mavrick and Goose" F-14 from the movie "Top Gun" (actually there are 5 f-14s in this package, including Iceman, Slider, and Hollywood)
6) The Bell 222b Helicopter used in the original "Jurassic Park"
7) The BELL 47 from the movie and tv show M*A*S*H*

9) The B-52 from the movie "Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb"
10) UD-4L Cheyenne Dropship from the movie "Aliens"
I was wondering if anyone had seen a:

2) Straton 797 (Trans-United Flight 52 livery) from the book "Mayday" by Nelson DeMille
3) Air Britain's Speedbird 626 from the book "Down to a Sunless Sea"
4) Lynyrd Skynyrd's plane..a Convair 240. On October 20, 1977 it crashed.

19) Beechcraft Baron, tail number N9750Y used in the 1974 movie "Airport 1975" (it was the plane that 'hit' the 747)
20) Boeing 747-123, registration number N9675, serial number 20390 (now registered as N675UP for UPS) from the movie "Airport 1975"
21) Concorde F-WTSC (re-registered as F-BTSC and it appears with this registration in the film.) from the movie "Airport '79" Trivia: This Concorde was the same aircraft which crashed after tire burst caused a fuel tank to rupture and the leaking fuel caught fire on July 25th 2000, while taking off from Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris
22) Starflight One (named in the movies as the world's first "hypersonic plane") from the movie Starflight One: The plane that couldn't land.
Well that is my list of what I have found (first list) and what I am looking for (second list). To be honest..if I could figure out how to model these up myself, I would be doing so.
Depending on how this thread goes, I will add links to the 'found' airframes.
