DC-3

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

DC-3

In your opinion, whats is the best FREEWARE Douglas DC-3 model out there for FS2002???  I would like one that many people have repainted, if possible.

Also, what is the best panel to go with it?

;D Your thoughts are appreciated!!!!  ;D

I have a few DC3's currently.   A good one is the DC3 Airways 1940 vintage by Jan Visser, repaints by Mark Beaumont.  This gave me three different paint jobs for the one download - including a local plane (for me) the RNZAF (Royal New Zealand Airforce) one that flew the Queen around NZ.     You can actually see the Queen in one of the windows (big thrill ?)

I have settled with the panel by Pasquale RINALDI for it's overall photo reality.

Make sure you download the correct sounds as well, if you haven't already I can do some research and find where mine came from.

Good luck.  Bazza

BM, get yerself over to my DC-3 page at www.swiremariners.com/dc3.html

If you can't find it there, it ain't anywhere!

Not true, of course, but you'll find loads to choose from.  The legend, of course, is MAAM's R4D-6 but even if you'd prefer flying one of my or others' paints, you can alias that panel.  In my READMEs I recommend a number of other panels too.

Hope this helps.  Fly DC-3!

Now that this "Dark Moment" person has so lavishly expounded on the virtues of Jan Visser's and his creations, ;D let me make a few comments.

Mr. Moment has, without doubt the absolute best collection of freeware Delta Charlie Thu-rees and Charlie Fower-Sevuhns available anywhere.

I have been flying nothing but his birdies for the last three months and they are just plain satisfactory ;D . I have every one of his liveries and if I live long enough, will fly them on my current odyssey.

This might be taken as sacrilege but I like his stuff better  :o than my dearly beloved MAAM R4D-6 because of its goofy navigation lights  :( . That will be fixated with the upcoming (someday) GMAX release, but until then, Mr. Moment's stuff is the - hands down - best there is.
