McCall Mun.

Postby BlackAce » Thu Jan 26, 2012 10:17 pm

I live in Idaho, and one of the most beautiful town is McCall.  The problem is that when I fly there, its totally not the beautiful town that I know, so if anyone could tell me how I could edit the town itself, or if some one could do it.  It's a very beautiful place, google it for yourself.

You can quite easily 'create' the town using the freeware SBuilderX terrain editing program to change the landclass in the area occupied by the town. It won't be an exact depiction (that would require creating 'photoreal' textures from sat. or ariel photo), it will give you the 'feel'.

SBuilderX is available here-http://www.ptsim.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=52&Itemid=56- You must have the FSX SDK installed for SBuilderX to work.

Another option is the payware Ultimate Terrain X-USA. http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=utxusa
You'll find many small cities, towns and villages depicted that are not in the fsx default landclass. Here is McCall with UTX-USA installed.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
