Night light effects in FSX

Hi hope you all having a nice new years eve.

I have a very simple question that I cant find an answer to. I have no experience with scenery design in FSX, only FS2004, and in FS2004 you cant place light effects close to autogen otherwise the autogen is not displayed, is this also the case with FSX?
