Is my FSX XML engine defective??

Postby DeryckB » Thu Jun 02, 2011 2:27 pm

Dear all,

I have had reasonable success modifying some gauges in FS 2004 on my laptop, using various Tutorials.
Applying myself to the XML on my FSX rig has been rather discouraging !!.
Using 'Black Box' I have been able to view the results of some of my 'efforts'. I have found that I cannot get the G: variables to work at all (According to the extra bit in Black Box )!. A: and

Gvars are only "seen" by the same gauge.

Therefore no other gauge can "see" them.

I will  look for similar code in a functional panel and check my syntax.

You can do that until the cows come home. The fact remains that G:vars are only "seen" within the same XML script.

This should be obvious since the "Black Box" can't "see" 'em!
