I am working on Eglin AFB also known as KVPS in Florida. Anyone got any hints on how to get aircraft to be on the scenery with out the AI taking over them. This is my first project for FS9. I am also trying to find the FS9 SDK and I can't seem to find it. I also can't seem to understand the bglxlm program either :-?. Can anyone tell me what the easiest program or programs that can help me edit the scenery.

Can you give us a bit more information about what you mean? Are you referring to parking aircraft on parking spots and stopping AI using them? Or is it something different??

I'm assuming you want static aircraft. IE - aircraft that just sit on the tarmac and look pretty. This can be accomplished with Traffic Tools, but I can't recall how. Anyone have the answer out there?

That is what I meant putting aircraft on certain areas of the apron. And should I have the aircraft quality set to low polygon version or low Quality for best performance

Nice, what do you have planned for Eglin? I have some scenery for Eglin already and its pretty decent except for some of the static aircraft. Not the quality... but the aircraft types. Theres an A380 parked over where the Climatic Lab would be. Thats just not realistic. I would recommend keeping the static aircraft to what is actually there. F-15s, F-16s, A-10s, some scattered F-22s, B-1s, C-17s, C-5s. And soon the F-35.
I live and work near Eglin by the way! Pass by it every day.

That is where I used to live 16 years ago when My dad was Air Force. What you have as scenery is what I want to do, But I want to included the MH-53J, 60's, Huey's and the T-38s that I remembered when I was there in 1993

Eglin AFB is coming along fine now since several of you have given me some pretty good tips and where to go for the items. I have added only F-15Cs and C-130s so far. I see what you guys mean by it takes hours to design or edit airports and scenery.
Thank you all in the forum and the moderators.
GO AIR FORCE

Okay I have used AFCAD to modify the parking lots and taxiways. But now I cant seem to label the taxiways so it would be more realistic. Adviced needed on this on.

Abacus "EZ-Scenery" is what I use for Object Placement within the scene, in real time!...>>>
Makes available all the objects in the FS 2004 Object Library!
EZ-Scenery For FS 2004:
http://www.abacuspub.com/default_fs.htmlPaul...G-BPLF...FS 2004... 8-)...!
(Also available for FSX).

Looks like i need to save more money from my measly $140 a week paycheck. Damn this sucks But i have it in my cart all i need is 20 more on CC.
Anyway Eglin AFB and Pax River NAS have almost complete aircraft assign to it thanks gtirob01's input and a friend in the DOD imagery dept. The only thing left is scenery and to upload. Can i add the planes and FPlans with this.

An alternative to EZ-Scenery is Flight 1's Instant Scenery.
http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=instscen More features and $5 cheaper. For FS2004 and FSX. Both programs have demos available, full function within 50mi from Seattle, so you can try them out.

After months of work on my project my HD crashes thankfully i saved the project to CD. But i have to start back at the AI traffic again since i didnt save that to disk.
Just got the new HD fully loaded with the programs i had. So it might be a lil longer before i finish plus RL is getting busier since its getting warm
