FS Panel Studio: Re-install problems...

Postby Fozzer » Sat Nov 06, 2010 12:58 pm

Hello Chums...

I am curious to know if any Members have run into the problem of re-installing a previously downloaded registered version of FS Panel Studio?

After a crash of my HDD containing the program a few days ago, I am now trying to re-install it on my new HDD...
...without any success whatsoever!...>>>

http://www.simforums.com/forums/topic37 ... tml#218420

Anyone here had better luck with their downloaded, registered version, re-installation?

My only other alternative is to re-purchase the CD Version!

Paul..."Frustration"; is my middle name!

Just to finish the thread off... ;)..!

After numerous down-loadings, and failed attempts at the complex re-validating and re-installation of FS Panel Studio, I finally purchased the CD Version in its Jewel Case to eliminate these problems, and guarantee an infinite number if re-installations in the future!
If FS Panel Studio takes your fancy....buy the CD Version only!... ;)...!

A fantastic program!

That is a rather strange experience. I've had FSPS for over a dozen years, and have downloaded and (re)installed every update that's ever been released...

All I've ever had to do was to keep track of my Flight1 "key" file, as well as the four-digit password to perform a reinstall!

As it happens, twice in the past dozen years I've managed to misplace either my "key" file or the four-digit password, but in both cases a quick visit to Flight1's automated system took care of that problem.

The problem arises when wishing to reinstall the downloaded program on a new Hard Drive and a new Operating System when the original key on the old HDD is lost, and of no further use.
Inserting the original key from the paper record is no longer accepted by Flight 1.
It is necessary to obtain a NEW key from Flight 1, but these particular details regarding it are buried beneath many other Flight 1 instructions on the many Help Pages!...>>>

...far too complicated, in my opinion... ;)...!

Most other other downloaded programs just require the owners registered Product Key inserting at the end of the download to initialise the program for instant use.

I finally got it sorted, and purchased the CD Version to prevent any future headaches!... :)...!

...all sorted now...

...and that's not to mention the similar problem here...>>>

Well, I'm delighted that it's all worked out in the end. Perhaps it's only because I've become used to the Flight1 system, but honestly I've never had any difficulty whatsoever with their system...  ;)

i have reinstalled Windows on my laptop about 8 times (had HDD problems, but they have seemed to work themselves out).  over the course, I have never used the "Written on paper" password.  I saved the setup.exe and ran that, and every time I guess i got lucky, but it has never asked me for the login information.
