Well guys,
I have just finished building my very 1st complete airport scenery including AI traffic to-and-from, and while it is ONLY for FS9 at the moment, I know a lot of people out there are now flying FSX. Well, I don't want to leave you guys out in the cold, but I do not know HOW to convert the files so that they will work.
If anyone would be so kind as to point me to the correct webpage so that I can bookmark it, or to the right program.
Thanks

First step is to put in FSX and see if it works. A lot of FS9 scenery will work 'as-is' in FSX.
It may be that you want to enhance the airport to include stuff that is available only in FSX like boundary fences. In that case you would need to import your airport into an FSX airport design tool to make those modifications.

Can it work the other way around, i.e. FSX to FS9?

If its in the right model and texture format it can.
But for 9 scenery to work in X you need to convert the afcad. Which If you want it done right ,needs an x afcad conveter.

It is possible to retro an FSX airport to FS9 but for the airport elements it would require getting the XML, removing any FSX only elements and compiling it with the FS9 Bgl Compiler. As for objects it would depend on what version the mdl is made for. Most FS9 models will work in FSX but FSX models would not work in FS9 so you would need the design tool source code and re-compile it.
