So, ok I'm thinking to go with a 2d panel for my airplane. Does this also get done in gmax?

2d panels are usually governed by panel.cfg.

What I mean is how would I make a 2d panel. . .

And if I download a random panel will it work with my plane?

2D Panels are not plane-specific; you could fly a jet fighter from the default 737 panel if you wanted to... (without all the bells and whistles, of course)

Ok thanks.

Is there any panel with a radar, or would I have to add that...
