Help adding ILS using ADE please

Postby Etienne62 » Wed Sep 17, 2008 1:59 pm

Hi all, I'm trying to add an ILS to an airport in FSX. I open the airport, right click the end of the runway and click add ILS. Which then appears as a green arrow. I'm not sure what i should to next. I've tried clicking file/save. and file save as. I do this and it says airport has been saved. but when i close ADE down, and then reload it the ILS has gone...........
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanx.
Stephen.
P.S. I have now got it to show up when i reopen ADE, but it doesn't show up in the game itself.

I assume you are using the latest version of ADE - 1.37.05?

I'm not sure what you mean by not visible in FSX.  Do you mean there is no localizer, glideslope or DME showing up in your instrumentation or that you are not directed to the ILS by ATC?

If it is the latter then you need approach code for the ILS.  The current release version of ADE does not work with approach code however the next version will automatically create an approach when you add an ILS.  In the meantime you would need to code the Approach yourself.  These are not too hard for an ILS

Hi,
When i load the game, and look at the map screen of the airport i've added the ils to, the ils doesn't show up as a green feather. And if i tune my nav 1 to the right frequency, my gauge doesn't pick it up either.
