Newbe question re: minipanels

I want to put the aircraft-specific gauges into the mini panels for some of my aircraft. Can I do this by simply editing the PANEL.CFG files to add a mini panel view and then inserting the correct gauges? (Basically using

Yes, you can build a custom mini panel in the panel.cfg for any aircraft.

Whether your using FS9 or FSX look at the default 737 for a template/guide to adding a mini panel section.

The key is the 'ident=MINIPANEL' in your new [WindowXX]. If there is no [Windowxx] section with

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
