fsx sdk please help

Postby Gman33 » Sat Mar 01, 2008 3:28 pm

Hi guys, I Know this may sound stupid to ya but i'm new to this and very excited about fixing my city (Flint Mi.), and making some missions.
I'm sure I'll need more help along the way, but for starters I need to figure out how to get into SDK. I've downloaded it and have also downloaded sp1, I jes can't find the exe. file or anything else for that matter that will open the program.
I'm new to fsx, but I had 1 of the earlier mfs's when I was a kid (80's) and spent hours building city's and scenery. Seemed alot easier.
I just got the new huey bushmaster (awesome model) and love flying aruond town and over where my house should be.
Thanx....

There is no download that installs the SDK, only the SP's are available for download. As Dr.bob pointed out, the SDK install is part of the FSX Deluxe retail package and is installed from the DVD.

If you have the FSX Deluxe version, the SDK is installed from the DVD1\SDK\ folder.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

No you have to install the SDK.

from fsdeveloper.com-To generate FSX scenery you will need the FSX SDK, which is distributed with the FSX Deluxe version. To install the SDK:
(1) Browse the FSX Deluxe Edition Disk 1
(2) Open the SDK sub-folder
(3) Double-click the setup.exe
(4) Tell it where to install. Default is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK

I installed sdk yesterday, I went through the whole install wizard stuff,
that's why I thought it was weird that I couldn't get in...
Is it supposed to run when fsx starts up? Am I supposed to go to fs and access it through there?
It's already installed.
??????????????
sorry about all the trouble, like I said i'm just starting out....
