XLM gauge - can a variable control an event?

Postby grouby » Tue Feb 19, 2008 3:03 pm

Hello everybody,

I'm trying to make an auto-lean / auto-reach mixture handle. I'm sure i'm not the first one, but i can't find anything about it.

So I was wondering if there is a way to make a variable control an event, like :
if (this is my fuel/air ratio) > (this is the good fuel/air ratio for my altitude and outside air temperature) then DECREASE MIXTURE

OK, this is not a good XML code, but you might see what i mean?

Of course there is the auto mixture option, but i want 4 positions: IDLE CUT-OFF, AUTO-LEAN, AUTO-RICH, EMERGENCY, like in the A-20 Havoc.

I have a gauge for the L10E Electra showing if mixture is too lean or rich, so it is possible to have a variable that gives the good fuel/air ratio. But is it possible to have events depending on this variable.

It's a bit hard for me to explain this in english, so if i'm not clear just tell me.

thanks for all!
still loving fs4!
