First let me say that I know nothing of GMAX or it's limitations, so I'm sorry if this is a dumb question. Is it possible to make a tree library, say for RWY12 for example, with an extra plane to them? In other words, most trees now look great from the ground ( or the side), but look like a big X from the air. Could I use GMAX to make a tree with a horizontal plane too, that would use a second texture, so you would see a "treetop" when viewed from above?
(I also apologize if this is posted in the wrong place, technically I'm asking about the 3-d design of scenery objects, so I wasn't sure if it should be here, or in the panel and scenery forum)
