Is there a file that fsx uses to list airports?

After creating a new airport I've found that several other programs are unable to find my airport with the airport ID.  I'm assuming they are looking in a file that lists all the default airports and I just need to append my new airport to the list.

And if necessary, what program will I need to open the file?

I appreciate it.

I believe that FSX populates the airport list by scanning all the BGL files in the
Scenery and Addon Scenery folders, looking for airport records.

I would suspect that what you need to do to have your "other programs" find
an airport you created is to point the program(s) to the correct folder that
contains the new airport BGL.

That's what I thought.

I can't get any third party programs to detect my airports id. I need a program called GA Traffic to find the airport so that I can add ai traffic! Active Sky X doesn't detect the airport Id either.

I have pointed GA Traffic to the folder that contains the airport's BGL file and I have pointed GA Traffic directly to the file.. When it adds the airports to the list I see it flash the name of my BGL file briefly.. but when I go into the list afterwords It's not there. This is so irritating.
