FSX Scenery Objects

Cheers! I hope I've posted this in the right place. I'm starting to get a bit more interested in the scenery aspect of FSX. There is a helipad and hangar in my home town for our local EMS Medevac service that, of course, doesn't exist in the FSX scenery. Is there a way to create and place them in my home town in FSX and if so, what software is needed to do it?

Well many thanks to ya!!! I do have the deluxe version and thought the SDK thing might have something to do with it, but I wanted to ask the experts first before I got my fingers and brain all twisted up! Guess the best place to start is learning about and playing around with the SDK...already have so might as well use it!

Thank you for the link to Instant Scenery, this looks like it will take a lot of the work out of creating custom projects. 8-)
