adding bush strips

I'd like to add some really basic, generic looking strips to the scenery of north Australia. All that's required is to be able to determine the position, length, altitude and runway direction. I used to have a utility to do this plus add aprons, buildings etc but I'm blowed if I can remember what it was called. If someone's able to help with this I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Just wanting to add some simple, generic looking strips to the scenery of north Australia. All that's needed is to be able to determine position, altitude, length and runway direction. I used to have a really good utility for this when I first bought F.S but I'm blowed if I can remember the name. If someone can suggest a utility I'd really appreciate it...thanks.

For FS 2002/FS 2004.

I use this delightful, simple little Utility by Chuck Dome, Runway Designer (Runway3), to generate all my own Private runways; Tarmac, concrete, grass and gravel.

Then I populate them with the following (Payware) Scenery Designer Programs:

LAGO FSE:

Abacus EZ-Scenery:

Bring your Bush Airstrips to life!... [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]...!

Paul....Have fun making Airstrips.... 8-)...!

Most people use AFCAD to make the airport and Gmax to add the buildings. Also you should try to look into the stuff Fozzer has showed you because they will help you even more. :)

Thanks for your help guys. I've downloaded runway3 but don't seem to be able to get a result. I'd have thought the info I put in would have just been transfered straight into the scenery files for the sim programe. *#!!/>*#&!!!? I'll keep trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong but any ideas would be a help. Friggin newbies!  :-[

Runway 3....

Save the file to your Desktop...!

Name it, then pop it into your Add-On Scenery Folder....
Fire up the FS2004...got to the Scenery Option on the Main Page....
...this brings up the FS Scenery Library...
Search in the FS 2004 "Add-On scenery" Folder for your new runway, and "ADD" it to the Library List.
Close down FS 2004 and restart. It will add your new area/runway for you to use...

There you go....All done by Magic....trust me...;)...!

Paul....You cant beat a nice dirt runway for your tail-dragger...;)...!

Alternatively, if you have problems...

Make a new Folder. Give it a name of your choice. Inside that folder make a another new Folder, and name it "scenery". Into that Folder pop your new Runway file...
...then proceed to add your new "Named" Folder to the library as explained above...;)...!

(This is the Normal procedure for adding scenery files to FS 2004)...;)...!
