Any utilities to disassemble or reassign guages?

There are so many neat guages out there (been collecting guages since FS98 and "flying" since FS3) -- is there a utility to re-assign the older freeware guages to FS9-COF or FSX capability - or can such a utility be designed?  I can't design my own guages and this type of program would be invaluable.  -- John Murphy
