Help! Changing default airport ground elevation?

Hi everybody,

I want to import a default FS2004 airport, and then modify the ground of that airport. Right now, most airports are on a big flat platform at the airport elevation, but I want to be able to change the elevation of certain parts of the airfield.

So what I need is one or more programs so that I can:
1. Import a standard FS2004 airport
2. Modify the ground levels of the airport at certain spots
3. Save it back into FS2004

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Grbld

Hi wji,

I know how to use AFCAD 2, but to my knowledge, there's no way to change the alevation of certain parts of the ground at an airport. I can change the elevation of a runway, but if I put it lower than the ground level, it'll just find itself below the ground and invisible.

What I want to do is change certain parts the ground elevation (mesh) for an airport, and get rid of the flattened area of a default airport. So some parts of the airport are higher than others, with smoot slopes between areas. If it can be done with AFCAD 2, please tell me how.

That sounds to me like the AF2 airport elevation is above the surrounding terrain elevation and the two have to married-up, but then,  Chacun
