where can i find the fs editor or something like it so i can modify panels?

That I know of, they're all payware, so to find them you have to pay. Sorry to be bringer of bad news.

You can try the free cfgedit. But i warn you. Allways make a cfg backup. This old program can mess up quite a bit in your panels, some it will do just fine.

CfgEdit is still free.  It's a bit dated and limited but the price is right.

Of course, if you know what you're doing, you can always use Notepad....  :)

Yep.  Notepad was my first panel editor, too.

I still use it occasionally.

Well, Notepad to place little gauges is quite good, I myself have used it. Not always a panel editor is required. The problem starts when you need to place and resize accurately a gauge. Then a panel editor can make your life easier.

I wasn't seriously advocating notepad as a panel editor.

It can be useful if you want to make a pixel or two adjustment and you don't want to open a graphic panel editor and if you know what you're doing.  But in general I let the graphic editors do the grunt work.
