FS Terrain problem

Ive just installed the europe section in fs9 which i have done many times with FS Terrain in the past but this time my rivers do not sit flat and are raised can anyone tell me why this is. I have had FS Terrain for sometime now but have never come across this. Normally when I install everything sits flat could it be that because i havent selected asia and the us areas that something is missing.
Any help much appreciated ta
