What software is required to, for example, add taxiways to existing FS2002 airports ?
I have added structures without difficulty, but I do not know how to handle taxiways.  I have tried putting a huge polygon in place, but the surface property is wrong.

Use AFCAD, v1.4.0 is for FS2002.

No problem, if you have any questions just ask. With AFCAD you can make whole airports that are AI aicraft compatible.
