How can I change the default view angle on the 2D panel of a particular aircraft?

At the moment I can't see the horizon over the panel during cruise and approach, and have to press [SHIFT]+[RETURN] to get a better view.

You need to change the eyepoint in aircraft.cfg.

As you can see from this thread it involves some guesswork and luck.

This only seems to change the position from which you view the world. I can't find anything to change the angle (up or down) which you look out at.

This may help if you want to change your view height easily.

'pwrseat1.zip' File Description: (download at avsim)
FS2004 Power Seat. This small gauge will change your viewpoint by moving the seat up and down using the mouse. There are seven positions in each direction with an instant reset to the default position. The gauge is available in two colors, grey and tan. Sorry, no lumbar control.

Works an absolute treat!

I don't know if the gauge does anything more than you could do from the keyboard but it wouldn't hurt to give it a try.

I looked at the (FS2002) SDK again and what I quoted in the other thread is about all MS has to say on the subject.

You can change the eyepoint viewing angle in the Panel.cfg file

[Views]
VIEW_FORWARD_DIR = 10,0,0

Thanks Jim
That looks like it should sort it.
