XML gauges

I have about 200 WWII airplanes on FS2002 - I don't like FS2004.      Over the years, I have continually upgraded the panels of these airplanes, and I have used both XML and standard gauges.      The XML gauges in KeDI gauge have been particularly useful for German airplanes.

Now, all of a sudden, I can't get any XML gauges to show up in FS2002 - not even Simicons.    The XML gauges call up and install just fine in FSPanel Studio but, having saved the panel, the gauges just don't show up in FS2002.

I'm at a loss to understand this one.     FSPS haven't been able to help.     Clearly, I would not particularly like to have to re-do all my panels substituting standard gauges for XML ones but, at the moment, I don't see any alternative.      If anyone can offer any comments or guidance, I would be very grateful.

XML-based gauges should be placed in the main "gauges" folder and should have their own separate folder.

Example:

FS2002 [folder]\
---\Gauges [folder]\
------\My_XML_Gauges [folder]\
---------\Main_Texture.bmp
---------\Needle.bmp
---------\Main_Texture.XML

That's how I do it. However, I'm not too sure how it really goes for FS2002 since I never tried it with FS2002.

If you care to mail me one of your panels (complete with gauges) I'll be pleased to check it out.

Thank you, Katahu and Hagar.      I may have discovered why everything went belly up, XML wise.    I imported a number of XML gauges from FS2004 into FS2002.      It may be that, in so doing, I messed up the FS2002 MSXML.DLL files.    I am now going back to re-install FS2002, and then do a one-by-one import to see if I can identify if this really is the problem.       I may well come back again later on this one.
