FSDS Scenery

Postby ajweber » Tue May 09, 2006 4:51 pm

I currently purchased FSDS2 and vs 3 to modify and build Navy ships and I have a question for anyone that knows about FSDS. I downloaded the Nimitz source files and attempted to compile the bgl in vs3 and the deck textures were all wrong. The rest of the ship looked fine though. I then copiled the bgl using vs2 and the ship was perfect!!
Only thing is, It's headed in the wrong direction!! I've been going over the manuel to find out how to chage the heading of objects in scenery and I haven't found anything on the subject. Before I start bugging the guys at Abacus about this I wanted to try somebody in the forums. If anyone has the answer to the question on how to change the heading of objects in FSDS2 please let me know!! Thank you.

I only use FSDS-2 but the same idea probably applies for either version.  In the top view pane, upwards = NORTH.  So, all's you need to do, is to select your project and rotate it accordingly, then recompile it.

Just so you know, FSDS is a staple of the guys on the FFDS (Free Flight Design Shop) Forums.  I would go ask this question there, if I were you.  They'll be able to give you all sorts of nifty ideas and tricks.
