Scenery Editing

I downloaded some scenery, and there are some parts that I like, but some buildings that I don't like.  The problem is, all of these buildings are in the same file.  Is there some way I can edit this file to get rid of only the buildings I don't like?

As far as I know there is no easy way of doing this.  I know that some scenery is not what everyone wants and hence why alot of use get into to scenery design in the first place.

I could not find what I wanted so had a go at building it myself.  If you want something specific and can't find it, then have a go.

You may want to consider approaching the designer of the scenery as all designers "normally" like constructive feedback to improve their work.

Actually, there is a SEMI-easy way of doing this.

Download FSSC (Flight Simulator Scenery Creator) from here:

http://www.fssc.avsim.net/

Read a little about it.  There's a tool in there (I can't remember what its called, exactly) that allows you to "flatten" a piece of ground, meaning you remove everything but the actual ground in that area.  All you have to know is the lat/long of the building you want to eliminate, and FSSC will take it out using that tool.

Funny Flying!

Thanks much.  I know about flatteners (I was getting rid of some, and bringing back the default scenery), but this program is exactly what I was looking for.  Thanks again!
