I'm using GMAX version 1.2

Gmax to build the entire airport including the taxiways etc? If so you will neeed a completly blank slate wiping out everything visual including the AFCAD2. FSSC excludes should do this.

However if you are using Gmax just for objects then you need to keep the Afcad visible. You can use Excludebuilder2 to do this - http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Sea ... &Go=Search

ok..I'm sorry for lack of explanation...actually want I want to do is to remove all the default airport building of the airport and replace them with the one done by me using GMAX..no intention to remove the runaway, gates and parking (because they are rendered fine in the FS2004)..

do you think it could be done in the afcad ? (I thought it's only for editing runway and taxiway..)

Rgr - exclude builder 2 will do this no problem -  http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=+ExcBuilder&CatID=root&Go=Search

I've used Excludebuilder2 here to remove the offending default objects -

thanks for the info pal  :) but unfortunately I encountred few problem...the program required me to download FSConnect and I did (downloaded version 2.01) and copied it my modules folder in FS2004...after started  Excludebuilder2 and located Bglcomp.exe (I installed in GMAX folder)...when I tried to locate by clicking FSC button an error telling "Error communicating with FSconnect!" appeared..did I do something wrong here ?

also few question regarding  Excludebuilder2, how do I know location (latitud and longtitud) of the airport default secenery so I could exclude them ?..the readme seem doesn't tell anything about it

anyway thank you very much for the info... ;)

When flying near the area you want to modify, just tap the "Y" key to enter slew mode.  This will display your lat & long coordinates.  I usually go to top-down (spot) view and zoom waaaaaaaay out to ensure I am exactly on top of the area to be modified, works everytime.

I don't know what is happening, at first the program work fine, but now it seem excbuilder does not create the exclude.bgl  files!! ???  :'(  I have emailed the problem to paavo@estscen.net...but in the mean time I would like to ask some favour to you Birdman, could you please create for me exclude.bgl file on this xml ?

  version = "9.0"
  xmlns:xsi='http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance'
  xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="bglcomp.xsd" >
         latitudeMinimum = "4.56878876699413"
       latitudeMaximum = "4.57070966005856"
       longitudeMinimum = "101.096484191078"
       longitudeMaximum = "101.096272411699"
      excludeBeaconObjects = "TRUE"
      excludeEffectObjects = "TRUE"
      excludeGenericBuildingObjects = "TRUE"
      excludeLibraryObjects = "TRUE"
      excludeTaxiwaySignObjects = "TRUE"
      excludeTriggerObjects = "TRUE"
      excludeWindsockObjects = "TRUE"
/>

I'm sorry I can't send you the xml file (coz I don't think the admin allowed us to do that)..you could simply copy and paste it in the source code window...you could send me the file at fuyutsuki_kimura@yahoo.com

really really appreciated if you could help...thank you in advance...

Im afraid I can get the xml to generate a bgl either, even substituting the data into one I know works. Usually the quickest thing is to create the exclude again, I can't see anything wrong with it but perhaps the coordinates are incorrect?
