Glideslopes

I have noticed in FS2002 that at a number of airport's glideslopes don't work in HSI or VOR gauges. For instance, no runways at Miami Int'l (KMIA) have working glideslopes.

I'm looking to tweak something to make the glideslopes work.

Do airport scenery .BGL files contain any thing tweakable regarding glideslopes? If so, is there a download available that would allow me access .BGL files and alter them?

Any thoughts on how I can get these things to work?

Some people at your FS2002 Forum suggested using AFCAD, but no one could explain exactly how AFCAD would  be used to correct the glideslope issue.

Have you tried my suggestion to check your .bgl files?  It is not uncommon that FS installs corrupt .bgl files.

Webb,

Forgot to thank you for the bgl scanner tip. Yes, I did a scan and found a corrupt bgl file, but in a non-airport scenery. I deleted it anyway.  Thanks.

Still, do any of you scenery designers know if there is a glideslope section in any of the airport scenery bgl's? If there is, how do I get into it?

Maybe something like, "Glideslope=true (false)" or "glideslope=1 (0)."

You don't want to delete corrupt .blg files, you want to replace them with good ones.

webb,

Actually the file is still there. I just gave it a prefix.

I e-mailed the fellow who designed the scenery and it came back as undeliverable. Oh well.

Renaming is the functional equivalent of deleting it.
