High light 256/8 bit format

Hi  

is there some little programme that can made a 256/8 bit bmp file whit an alpha channel for making highlight effect on gauges ?

pls help i need this to finisch my projet  
There is a 100pixle wide, and 10kb large, size limits on Avatars.

Hi,

For making a _LM.bmp you must first work in 24 bits (use DXTBMP) then make the hightlighting with PSP (or even GMAX ?) and then convert it to an 8 bit bmp with the program  convr8 (save as bmp...). You can find conv8 on the site of  MW Graphics.

i will test this programm and give some news soon !

i have finaly release my projet but if i have time i will updated cockpit whit high light !
