Screen shots of Lost in Space crash scenery

Postby Glitch » Sat Feb 19, 2005 8:28 am

Here are some screen shots of the LIS crash site scenery I hope to release in the next couple of weeks. It features seasonaly displayed objects, Optional time of day display force field objects. A sample of the scenery is avalible on my site. But it is last weeks version. The current sample version has grown too large to upload to my site untill I split it up, which I hope to do later today. I hope you enjoy the pics.

Pictures are on the big side, but that's really cool! I do have a question, where in the FS world did you stick that? Or, maybe it's in another world! *weird music* oh well, just curious, don't paticularly recognize that area. Looks good though, detailed and would be fun to see.

It is located in the desert near Trona California. We could not get off planet in the sim, so we placed it where Irwin Allen shot the location footage for the original series. Sorry about the size of the pics but they are not uploaded to simviations pic cache I referenced them to my site. Hoping I could get by with the larger size. You can go to my site and download last weeks version, of the So far sample at the bottom of the page. It has all the LIS objects and optional files. All it is missing are the rockfields that I have done this week.

Haha, that's awesome. Nice change of pace from the standard airports and scenery.

Well It seems to me to be a waste of a great design tool (FSDSv2) to make 3 view trace models. While this scenery is not exactly original work. The force field generator was the only 3view I worked from, all the rest was done from screen shots. Also this is a joint effort with Ronnie Pendercraft. He did the Jupiter 2 and Robot models.
