Hangar in XML code

Postby mikebigtoe » Sat Feb 05, 2005 9:05 pm

Hello,
Does anybody know what the XML codes are for the hangars in the default scenery?
Thanks,
Mike

I am not too sure if this can help or not, but its worth a try. If you download Microsofts BGLComp SDK there is a file in it called LibraryObjects.xls. If you have MS Excel you can open it and there is every scenery object listed with its xml code. It is a very long file and would take forever to go through one by one but maybee of you try a search for "hanger" you could filter the results and find the one you want.

Thanks,
I have that already. Only a small portion of those codes work. I have tride every hangar listed but to no avail. I can add other items but again its only a small amount that is use able.

I've had a look for you & can't find any hangars either. Maybe you could copy the default hangar you wanted in Gmax & use the same default textures.

Thanks Birdman,
But when it comes to Gmax I am as useful as a plane without wings.
All I am looking for, is any hanger that I could add as scenery. Size is kinda important maybe big enough to fit a 757. And it doesn't even have to have open doors.

The only opther thing I can say is to create a very very simple one in gmax. all you would really have to do is make a box that is the right size. if you have no idea what you are doing in gmax there is an excellent tutorial here which even includes hopw to give it textures.
