Hi all....stemming from a previous post re. a certain panel, I would like to ask the question..Is it possible to cause the course and heading bug to increment by 1 degree instead of the 10 degrees which it does at present?..if so, then how is it done please...thanks...commoner ;)

Hi commoner.

You can fix this by installing FSUIPC. Under the 'technical' tab, there is a tick box called 'fix control acceleration' - this will fix the problem.

You didn't mention if you were running FS2002 or 2004. If 2002, you can download the most recent freeware version from this site. If 2004, you have to buy the more recent payware version - sorry!

;)

Derek,

I'm most of the way there but I just don't have the time to devote non-stop to it right now.

If you don't have any joy in due course I will have an updated update (  ??? ) completed

Thanks Rollerball.....it's just that 10* increment that's bugging ( :P) me now.....look forward to anything you can come up with. There just doesn't seem to be a really good "pilot friendly" ATR panel for FS9. TCA News site has a sort of temporary update but not sure I like it at all..it's just a makeshift job....see yah..commoner ;)

commoner,

I could well be wrong, but I don't think it's anything to do with a particular panel - it may well be a 'feature' that was part of the core functionality of FS2002 that was carried over into 2004.

:)

hi micro,

No, it's a panel problem. I have a panel working properly but it's only part of the 'whole' original and needs a major tidy up before it's finished. I've used a lot of replacement switches and gauges that I just took from another panel and I need to go through them carefully now and find which of the originals is therefore causing the problem.

I've updated loads of old FS98 and 2000 panels and invariably you find this problem is caused by a switch or something apparently small and trivial which was coded for an old sim but doesn't work properly in the newer one because the method used to capture and readout the data has changed.

I've even had it caused by things like dummy hghb switches!
