Does anyone know of a good airport that has a lot of good information online that I could do as a little airport to start out with? I really want to get into scenery design...

Thanks

It depends were you are.  I am not sure about the USA but there is various sources of info for UK depending on if they are mililtary or civil.  Also in the UK the VFR photographic scenery add on is great for the overall layout of the airfield.  Maybe try you local airfield first so it is easier to gather info.

Yeah I've been thinking about doing my local field. I'm in walking length of the airport but I don't think they would be to happy to see someone walking around near the airport with a camera. I mean I could probobly ask but I am still a teen and I don't think they would trust a teen.

If you could link me to some info on an airport(s) in the UK that would be great. I don't really care about the location of the airport.

I was looking for info on RAF leeming so used various ways, and only live a few miles away.  There is two links below I used for basic data.

http://worldaerodata.com/countries/ - General Airport Info fo rall over the world
http://www.warplane.co.uk/AirfieldGuides/Leeming.htm - example of leeming info (really a spotters site)

The visual aspects are the hardest.  To do leeming I used the VFR packcage and in top down view took a screen shot of the airfield.  I then used this as a background in FSSC to layout the field (scale 5.125m/pixel).  I put runway down first and tested it then once it was right I built the rest (and still doing it)

Hope some of this helps

Another basic resource which can give one a feel for the current layout is MultiMap's Aerial Photos.
