VC and 2D clash

Postby Squeek » Wed Oct 27, 2004 2:20 pm

hey guys! i have been tryin to figure this one out for a while now, but just cant seem to do it. I am using a C152 with default panel, the one from carensoemthin, if you are looking any dirrection but strait ahead you look at both the virtual cocpit, and the normal 2D one. I sorta like the 2D one better (photorealistic) and would like to get rid of teh virtual cocpit, any ideas on what i need to change to do this???

hey guys, nvm, but i think i am gona leave the solution here, incase anyone else ever needs it. What you do is change the [Default View] thing. just make Size_X=0 and Size_Y=0. then no more virtual cocpit, alhtough i dont know how htis will effect the actual virtual cocpit, but this plane really didnt have one, that is why i havent cheaked

:)

Didn't think it would sorry

Right, if you have a clash with the VC (and it happens with a lot of planes - some designers seem to think that including a poor VC is better than not having one - it isn't because it messes the views up if you add a good replacement panel with views) all you do is get hold of a trusty hex editor and remove the VC from the model. It's easy if you are computer savvy enough to have a go.

Are you Grasshopper?  Are you :-*

Let us know. If not, if you email the model file (or tell us which aircraft it is so we can get hold of it) I or someone else will do it for you in about 2 minutes flat and send you the file back.
