Creating IFR panels

'Lo all!

I've been tinkering with .air files and .cfg's for a while now; but now I'd like to try sommat a bit different:

I love IFR panels.

OK; call me crazy; but I love instrument flight. My idea of a good time is to turn on an IFR panel; slide the forward view out of the way then plan and make a flight entirely on instruments; then watch the video to see how close I got afterwards. (Without using ATC IFR clearance)Under normal conditions; I get within 5 feet of the centerline and 100 feet of the threshold on landing. Not exactly stellar; but not too bad either. ;)

Anyhoo; what I'd really like to do is make up an IFR panel for the 737. I've just no idea how to begin. I can get a panel easy enough; it's building it up and putting gauges on it that confuses me.
I've heard vaguely that there are freeware programs that will help you build panels; but I don't know of any; nor which are the 'good' ones.

Any ideas which program is the best to use? :)

Thanx!

Crazy? Naaaa.....  ;D The only prog I use is CFG Edit. I don't have the URL with me cos im in the library....  :P Google and you will find it.... That an ordinary M$ Paint will do the job. Just make a background *.bmp, ot use the one thats in it now, and then use cfg edit to make the *.cfg. Its freeware btw. Good luck
