Hello there!

What program do I need to edit the scenery (bmp) texture files. Is there a certain program you need, or a special way you must open files to be able to edit them.

I have paintbrush (obviously), Photoshop7, Fireworks. Is it possible with any of these!

They might work. I suggest you make a copy of a file first put it in a seperate folder than use whatever program you want to open the file from FS make any changes you want then save it. If it does not work just put back the copy and over write.
I am not certain if you require a special format for the BMP files. I know that the R8 files are unique.
