Tutorial needed

:o :o Hello All, Indeed I need a tutorial. For days, I have been trying to create some landing strips ( airports) In place where I know they exist. I have all coordonates ( Long/lat/elev/length/width/orientation. )I was successful in doing that in FS2002 using  FSSC ( Screen creator of Derek Lung). But for FS9, while the airports are visible and usable, they do not appear in my airport list, and on the map.----- When I use AFCAD 2.11,  I am able to create the airports, and see them in my list, but Afcad is lacking the means to "Flatten the area" ... So my planes float or are sunk. I was told, that I could combine the functions of these 2 softwares ( Fssc and Afcad).and somehow, this is where I need a tutorial. or a better idea.
Thanks, Bob

Bob, check the AFCAD/TTools and Scenery Design forums, you'll probably get a better response.  Good luck! ;)

Thanks Hyperion,
If you don't mind, let's push a little further: ::) Would you have a couple  of URL 's for those Forums ?  I looked around, and one could be lost in not seeing.  8)

It seems that the thread has already been moved to the correct place. ;)

Bob. I believe it was me that suggested using a combination of both. I forget what I told you now so I'll run through it again.

FSSC has not yet been updated for FS9. The old AFD BGL (runway Airport & Facilties Entry) no longer works in FS9. You can use the New Misc Object/Menu Entry instead. These entries will be listed on the FS9 "Search Add-on Scenery" menu option. I assume that they will also display in AFCAD. It should be possible to add the other menu entries by using both programs.

The alternative would be to try the latest version of Airport for Windows. I believe this has been updated with new features for FS9. Instructions & tutes should be included. I think the FSSC & Airport home sites have their own support forums.

RollerBall & Bird man know far more about all this than me.

I forget where to find it (try a search engine) but there is a terrain editor out there. It can do exactly what you want and more. just try related keywords such as "fs2004 terrain editor"
