After doodling around in my trusty 'ol notepad, I have finally figured out how to make a realistic roadway system of the traffic for FS.
Long ago, I thought that I had to make the system as one big airport model. But then I realized that it's easier and a lot more efficient to model the system by overlapping the taxiways of one roadway system [airport model] with the taxiways of another. The taxiways will cross over each other in such a way that it will simulate realistic car traffic [cars turning at the intersection while other cars drive straight].
The AI cars of one system will cross and drive along the taxiways of another system due to the overlapping method.
I wish I had a scanner and I wish I had a computer right now because I wanna show you the drawing of the system so that you can get a clear picture.
It's kind of hard or complicated to say in words. That's why I wanna post the drawings because a picture is worth a thousand words. Hehe.
The system will be primarily for the AI cars.
Obviously, the road system will require some bridges [to help cross the many rivers and such].
After I get my computer, which will take time, I will speak to RollerBall about how I can make drivable surfaces for bridges since I am seeing posts about his Carrier project.
Right now, my budget is growing and at around early July I will buy my own computer.
EDIT: Oh, and one more thing. I'll try to figure out a way on how to get the AI cars to cross over the bridges. I am sure that there is way.
