when i use flight sim scenery creator i have some problems i cant figure out.
1. how big can i make a flat with a polygon over it. It seems that i can only stretch it so far. I seem to loose everything out of a certain point.
2. Is there a tutorial on making and placing objects into the map with the eod program.
3.In flight shop design studio can i build objects for the map and if so how do i place them or move them into the program.

thanks

Hi Wayne

It's been a while since I messed with FSSC so I'm not familiar with the latest features or creating scenery for FS9.

1. The best thing about the Area16N Flat Area is that it can be any shape you wish up to about 50 points. You can also use more than one in your project. If you have display problems with large polys try covering the area with several smaller ones. These can also be any shape you wish. This might not be so important now but I'm careful not to use polys with internal (acute) angles. This can cause display problems. If you want complex shapes use adjoining polys of various sizes instead.

2. EOD exports objects as API macros. Try importing a default macro into FSSC. Right-click on the working area & select New 3D Object/Macro. Browse though the FSSC Macro libraries & select an API object. This can be positioned anywhere you wish. There might be variables that can be changed from Macro Properties. Import as many objects as you like, bearing in mind that each one will affect frame rates.

3. Basically the same as 2. Export in API format from FSDS/File/Create FS Object File/Scasm Macro File (.scm/.api).
Macros created with FSDS are generally more complex & more graphics intensive than EOD objects. Keep the object as simple as possible.

Hope this is some help.
