I all, I was just wondering if there is some kind of program that will allow me to move roads and rivers to where they are supposed to be.  Anything simple?  I installed mesh for my local mountains and it look absolutly wonderful, I just with I could fix the rivers so they are not going up the mountains, and the road should be in the canyon also.  Any thoughts??  I have downlloaded all the SDK's but cant figure out how to use them.  Thanks

 Hello new guy.
There are a bunch of Scenery design programs on the market, any one them will allow you to alter or make new scenery. The biggest obstacle to overcome in changing existing scenery is finding the correct bgl file to alter. The file names they use do not make any sense and makes it very diffacult to find the bgl file you are looking for. If you have downloaded any scenery and made a seperate folder for it than you can find the file you need with out to much problem. If you are going to make new scenery you will need latitude and longitude for the new scenery. One suggestion is to go the the airport that is close to the area you want to change
turn off crash detection press ctrl z twice it should put the  headings at the top of the screen than turn off num lock go into slew mode and use the directions keys on the number pad to go where you want pressing the number 5 key will stop you Q will go up and A will go down Just write the numbers down as you go along.
This will give you the information you nead  when making new scerery.

Sabotage,

I have the same wish.

I have installed the FSGenesis (payware) mesh I had from FS2002 into FS2004....and it works fine.  The general landscape is immediately recognizable.  But in both the default and the new stuff....... the area around my house has the MAJOR roads (state highway) in the completely wrong place....and has completely omitted a MAJOR river that runs thru here.

Most of the scenery stuff that I have found involves a "FLATTEN" of some sort........ which means that the natural undulations of the landscape go "bye bye" if you try to alter things.  If there is something simple that doesn't require the flatten bit...... I'd love to hear about it.

best,

.................john
